MSND at The Edinburgh Festival

Hi! We're up at the Edinburgh Festival performing our version of MSND - our dark interpretation of Shakespeare's 'A Midsummer Night's Dream'

Sinister deeds - ulterior motives - drugs - and Puck in a cat-suit and leather boots!

If you'd like to see the show we're at Augustine's from 15th-20th August at 8.40pm.

You can book online through the Edinburgh Fringe website www.edfringe.com or directly through Augustine's box office on 08452 26 27 21

Hi, I've just been to see your first performance of MSND and loved it. Some people walked out and if I could I'd have shot them; it's horribly rude.

But what I wanted to ask was, what is the song you play when Puck takes the patients behind the screen to inject them? I don't know it and it was a very creepy, cool song. Could you give me the title and artist, please? (Just found back Teardrop. I keep forgetting how good that song is).

Anyway, great job, I really enjoyed watching this play.

Hi Kitty

Thanks for your email! We’re really glad you enjoyed it!

The song that plays when Puck takes the lovers through is 'Everywhen' by "Massive Attack" (the cast used to joke that this might as well be called the Massive Attack Show we use so many of their songs!!)

We've had quite mixed feedback about the show. Not everyone appreciates people messing around with Shakespeare! But we’re really happy you enjoyed it.

Thank you for the info!

Massive Attack, eh...They're much underused!

I can imagine the mixed reactions--at first I was rather shocked, too, but since you don't merely give the characters a motorcycle or dress them in leather but really DO something with it, I was very much impressed. And I'll never get your Puck out of my head : ) The needle...

Anyway, I hope that you'll have many sell-outs this Fringe, and lots of luck,

cheers,

Kitty
